Summer 2012

Ok, here's my attempt to catch up on blogging our summer.  It was a fun one!  The boys were 3 and 6, and beyond the fighting were as easy as could be.  No diapers made it a breeze, and we had a blast!

We spent the majority of the summer at the pool. Briley worked on his strokes and Lawson learned how to swim really well. He can swim across the pool and get diving sticks on his own. Video to come... While we spent weekdays at the pool, we spent weekends on the boat. I would wakeboard, B would try to wakeboard, the boys would tube, and we'd meet friends to swim. The boat was the BEST decision we've made, and it has given us tons of quality family time. Aunt Nat came to hang out one weekend too. We used a few of our Hoppity Hop passes to bounce. B is our Lego child. He builds almost every day. Here is one of his designs. Later he took them outside to sell. We played and rode bikes outside when it was cool enough. B took swimming lessons at the Y. He did fabulous! We met baby Halle. Lawson took lots of naps on the boat. The scene you may see behind the boat. Shopping at Opry Mills - SO glad it's open again! Summer camp for 6 weeks so I could stay somewhat caught up with work. We hit up the $1 movies every Wednesday. B's bff Paul came with us one week. We went to the beach. Paul's birthday party Lawson learned that spraying cologne in your eye was NOT a good idea. Mommy opened a studio!!! Playground trips (for my Memphis friends, this is Taylor Swift's playground) B started Karate. He's doing great and has already earned 2 stripes! Mommy and Daddy celebrated 9 years!!! I got new cowboy boots for our anniversary and finally can fit in in Nashville :) We found a Shocktop car, which if you know me, made me very excited! Lawson picked his outfit out one day. I mean, who has a super hero to protect over them in the car??? Love it, Batman looking at Batmans. We're getting way into superheroes. KINDERGARTEN supply shopping! More dress up More lake B wanted a koozy for his drink AND he had to jump in the lake to drink it :) Building more hero factories and building Legos
The boys emptied out their piggy banks and went shopping.
They found some great deals! Lawson loved his new Joker trios. More lake time
