Lawson, our ex-thumb sucker, always has his brown and blue nite-nite nearby. There's normally a pile of stuffed animals on his bed. His closet door is cracked open with the light on because his night light isn't bright enough, and he still sleeps with his classical music playing.
Today while B was at school we went Halloween decor shopping, and Lawson insisted on these ghosts. Nick thought it was ridiculous that I spend $12 or $14 on them, but if you could have seen his little face light up when he saw them you'd understand. Which is exactly why Nick was the one who took them out of the box and hung them in his room for him. Then we went to the mall to pick up and return a few things. Fall is here, and pants are too short :) So somehow the little stinker lured me into Build a Bear, where he somehow convinced me that he needed one. Well, B does have 2, so I figured it was his turn. I'll have to post pics next. So anyway, that Build A Bear puppy dressed up as the Hulk and named Batman is sleeping in this box next to his bed. When we left the mall, he told me "This was the best day ever, Mommy". Totally worth the little splurges for the day.
B. The big brother who tries to act so grown up and tough. He goes to sleep entirely under his covers because he doesn't like the dark. Or as he told us tonight, monsters. His closet must be shut, his bedroom door must be open, and the nightlight must be in the hallway. His turtle and nite-nite are under his covers, they never leave his room anymore, and you won't see him touch them during the day, but they are still a necessity at night. He starts dripping sweat within minutes of falling asleep.
Big Diddy, the x-party boy, who now can barely make it to 9pm on a weeknight. He works is rear end off to be awesome at his job. He wakes up at 4:30-5am everyday to go to the gym and gets to work before 8am. He comes home ready to play soccer in the backyard or watch a movie with the boys on the couch. He always kisses me goodbye in the mornings, no matter how dead asleep I may be, and most of the time I still get the first kiss when he gets home. That is if a little boy doesn't charge to the door first.I love these guys :)
