Destin: Day 2

Our first full day at the beach was Father's Day. The boys made sure to wake up bright and early, yes... before 7am. So we let daddy sleep in. We headed to our favorite donut shop for some yummy key lime donuts, came up, and set up our gifts for daddy. Photobucket This guy deserves a post just for Father's Day, but to say the least, he's the most amazing daddy and husband that we could EVER ask for. We love that guy! When daddy headed to the gym, we stayed in for a little game time. Photobucket Looking WAY to grown up. Photobucket Then it was beach time! Photobucket Photobucket B learned to boogie board. He didn't like it that much when he realized it involved getting salt water in his face ;) Photobucket Mommy and Daddy had SO much fun actually getting to have alone time now that the boys are independent enough to play. It was our first trip to the beach in 6 years with NO diapers! Photobucket Photobucket Worn out! Photobucket Then it was time for McGuires, our favorite! Photobucket Green cherries! Photobucket Green drinks! Photobucket And some pole dancing! Photobucket Do you see that cherry thief? Photobucket Photobucket Watching the fighter jets from the balcony is another favorite of ours. Photobucket We even got to sit together at dinner a few nights! Photobucket Photobucket Happy Father's Day to the most amazing Daddy, super hot hubby, and best friend a girl could have. Love ya Diddy! Photobucket

Destin: Day 1

We hit the road bright and early to head to the beach last week.  The boys had their car trip tub and lots of sweets in tow. Photobucket When we got there, we quickly unloaded the car and headed to the beach. No fears of the elevators this year! Both boys raced to push the buttons all week. Photobucket Crossing the bridge Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket We were so much better about staying on the beach this year. They both didn't LOVE the sand and salt and preferred the pool. But they sure did play in it for hours. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Next, we headed to the pool. Photobucket Where the boys built tube towers Photobucket Photobucket and did some waterfall jumping. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Then, we headed to dinner at the Crab Trap. It's seems to be our first night on vaca place to go. Photobucket Photobucket We ate oysters and Lawson joined in on the fun. He loved them too! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket We finished the night off playing on the playground and getting some sorbet on the boardwalk. Photobucket

Back to Reality

Photobucket We are home from a wonderful week at the beach. I was so excited when I saw this picture that Briley took in the camera. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it at home. I've fallen asleep on the couch both nights since we've been home, so it's the only one I've uploaded, but more coming soon.

Mommycation

I went on my first girl's trip a few weeks ago.  Nick earned major Daddy of the Year points.  He was ALL for me going on a girl's trip (although I think he had second thoughts a few weeks before the trip.)  He was home with the boys for 4 FULL days and did amazing.  He finished tons of projects, kept the house clean, and had a great time with the boys.  I shouldn't be surprised because he really is the best daddy ever, but I was really proud too.  I came home to 2 full fledged daddy's boys, although Lawson quickly regressed back to a momma's boy :)  Anyway, thank you Nick for being the best husband and daddy ever.  And thank you Jill for an awesome idea for a fabulous weekend away!

We were out way past my bedtime! Photobucket Photobucket It's not a trip with Jill without a game of Phase 10 or Skip Bo Photobucket We went to a yummy gospel brunch Sunday morning at the House of Blues. Photobucket These chairs cracked me up :) Photobucket Our last night, only the 3 of us remained Photobucket
